JUL BAHARIN BIN TAJUL ARIFFIN graduated from International Islamic University Of Malaysia with a Second Class Honours degree in 1989 and began his pupillage with Mr .Bhag Sigh and was admitted to the High Court of Malaya as an Advocate and Solicitor on 18 of October 1991.
He started his legal practice with Messrs. Wrigglesworth & Co. and thereafter with Messrs. Tengku Ariff, Messrs. Mahmood Adam & Co. in Kota Bharu and Messrs. Igbal Hakim Sia & Voo, Kuala Lumpur. During these years of practice, he has at tended to litigation matters covering all kinds of legal matters such as debts collection, hire purchase, safe of goods, breach of contracts, divorce matters bankruptcy, garnishment , winding up, writ of distress, judgement debtor summons etc.
TAY HANG SONG graduated from University of North London, England, with a Second Class Honours Degree in 1992 and began his pupillage in the chambers of Messrs Tee, Tan & Partners.
He worked in the government sector from 1978 to 1994 and is well equipped with the knowledge of government department organization and policies reasoning. The experiences gained while serving with the government has led to the establishment of a good relationship between him and the local community leaders especially in the constituency of Batu, Wangsa Maju & Titiwangsa. His active involvement in the social welfare has indeed rewarded him in being appointed as legal advisor to the Taman Jinjang Baru Residence Association (Kepong, Kuala Lumpur), Taman Genting Kelang Residence Association (Setapak, Kuala Lumpur), Luck Ong Kong Temple (Setapak, Kuala Lumpur) and Chee Heng Keong Temple (Setapak, Kuala Lumpur) . He is also exposed to a wide area of law relating to Contract law, Insurance law, Criminal law, Probate and Letters of Administration.
TAY HOK KIAN is a LL.B (Hons) Second Class Upper graduate from the University of the Aberystwyth. He has obtained the Certificate in Legal Practice (CLP) from the Qualifying Board under the Legal Profession Act in 2010. He began his pupillage with Messrs Cheang and Ariff and was admitted to the High Court of Malaya as an Advocate and Solicitor in 12 September 2011.
In 2019, we celebrate our 3rd branch opening in Mid Valley City, whereby Hok Kian leads his team of legal associates there.
TAY HOCK ANG is a LL.B (Hons) Second Class Upper graduate from the University of the West of England, Bristol. He has obtained the Certificate in Legal Practice (CLP) from the Qualifying Board under the Legal Profession Act in 2007. He joined the firm in July 2007 to begin his pupillage and was admitted to the High Court of Malaya as an Advocate and Solicitor in August 2008.
In 2012, he expanded H.S.Tay, Baharin & Partners legal practice by setting up another branch in the heart of the Capital of Malaysia at Megan Avenue, Jalan Tun Razak, spearheading the Conveyancing leg of H.S.TAY, Baharin & Partners.
He specialise in both residential and corporate conveyancing practice and has extensive experience in a wide range of legal documents and contracts amongst others, sale and purchase of land, residential and commercial property, lease and tenancies, various retails and commercial banking loan documentation both Conventional and Islamic.
At Megan Avenue Branch, he is assisted by teams of Legal Assistant and numerous experienced staffs, whereby each team spearheads different division in the firm.

RENAN GAUTIER holds a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) degree and Master of Laws from the University of Northumbria at Newcastle upon Tyne, United Kingdom. He is also a member of the Honourable Society of Middle Temple, United Kingdom and was admitted into the English Bar in 2006 as a Barrister-at-Law. Renan was admitted as an advocate and solicitor of the High Court of Malaya Kuala Lumpur in 2008.
Before joining Messrs H. S. Tay Baharin & Partners, Renan was the Asia Pacific Regional Legal Counsel for CBRE Group Inc (a Fortune 500 company and is currently the world’s largest commercial real estate services and investment firm). While working at CBRE, Renan has a lot of hands-on experience working closely with clients, business partners and local business unit in Australia, India, China, Japan Malaysia, Singapore, Philippines, Thailand, Vietnam, HK and Indonesia. Renan also leads all regional/ global high-value and complex contract negotiations (with multi-jurisdictional elements) for CBRE Group Inc.
Prior to working at CBRE Group Inc, Renan was the Group Legal Head of FITTERS Diversified Berhad (a public listed company on the Main Market of Bursa Malaysia). Previously, he was also the practising lawyer at Messrs Murad Yee Partnership and Messrs Raja, Darryl & Loh.
Renan’s main area of practice is Corporate & Commercial Laws. He has at least 13 years of experience dealing with corporate exercises (such as mergers and acquisitions, restructuring, capital reduction, shares acquisition & disposal, ESOS etc.), shareholders’ and partnership disputes, shares subscription, shares sale & purchase transaction, commercial contracts (including information technology agreement, software agreement, intellectual property agreement and cross border transactions), employment and human resource matters and joint ventures/collaborations arrangements.

KOK JIIN CHUAN from University of Northumbria, Newcastle in 2009 and completed his Bar Vocational Course (BVC) in 2010. He began his pupillage with Messrs Khaw & Partners and was admitted to the Bar in 201 1 as Advocate & Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya. Upon being called to the Bar, he started his legal practice with Messrs Pearly Ng, Soh & Associates in 2011. He subsequently joined Messrs Ngan Arifah & Chai in 2012 before joining Messrs H.S.Tay, Baharin & Partners
LIM CHUN HONG graduated from Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM) with a First Class Degree (Honours) in year 2014. He commenced his pupillage at Messrs. Paul Ong & Associates from September 2014 to June 2015 and was admitted to the Bar on 7th August 2015 as an advocate and Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya. Upon admission to the Malaysian Bar, he began his legal practice at Messrs. Arthur Wang, Lian & Associates from January 2016 to August 2017.
His main focus at Messrs. H.S. Tay, Baharin & Partners is General Litigation focussing on Body Injury Claims due to Accident, Debt Recovery, Bankruptcy, Divorce, Probate & Administration and also Debt Recovery exercises.

HAZRIANIE AFFILA BINTI MUHAMMAD graduated from Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM) in 2015 with LLB (Hons) Degree and was admitted as an Advocate and Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya in September 2016. She is a member of Malaysian Bar and practices in the area of Banking and Conveyancing in Kuala Lumpur, emphasizing in project work.
She has had the opportunity to represent clients ranging from individuals to corporations. Since her admission to the Malaysian Bar, Affila has been dealing with both Conventional and Islamic facilities from various Banks in Malaysia in matters on the entering into Sale and Purchase Agreement of housing accommodation land and commercial property in Malaysia.

YAP SUE EE graduated from the University of London (External) with a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) Second Class Honours and fur her obtained her Certificate in Legal Practice. She read in the Chambers of Messrs YC Pang, Chong & Gordon under the guidance of Mr. YC Pang.
She was admitted to the High Court of Malaya as an Advocate and Solicitor in December 2018, retained and continued her journey in this legal profession with Messrs YC Pang, Chong & Gordon as a Legal Associate.
She has also planned and conducted internal training sessions in relation to legal framework and workflow training to senior management and professional staff of Financial Institutions, as well as Q&A sessions.
In July 2020, she was invited to join Messrs H.S. Tay, Baharin & Partners and currently, she has a very strong interest in business and corporate law. Her ultimate aim is to provide both legally and commercially sophisticated legal services/advices to her client to meet their demand and to secure their upmost interest in every transaction.

OOI SEE SHIN graduated from the University of West of England, Bristol in 2014 with LLB (Hons) Degree and was admitted as an Advocate and Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya in October 2016.
She commenced her legal career specializing in the legal framework of Conveyancing. She was involved in various housing development projects, real estate disposal and acquisitions and housing loan matters.
She was also exposed to Commercial Banking where she had the opportunity to advise on the financing matters for SMEs and some large corporations in Malaysia.
